Job Summary:

The General Aviation Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse fleet of general aviation aircraft. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of aviation systems and compliance with FAA regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various general aviation aircraft.
  2. Conduct pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections to ensure airworthiness.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft mechanical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in compliance with FAA regulations.
  5. Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in technology, and changes in regulations that affect maintenance practices.
  8. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. Assist in training junior technicians and develop effective work practices within the team.
  10. Communicate effectively with customers regarding maintenance issues and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Aviation Maintenance Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including airframes, engines, avionics, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with various aircraft models and manufacturers is preferred.
  • Proficient in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
