Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Alabama seeks a General Automotive/R&R Technician to diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicle systems and to quickly identify performance issues.

You will remove and reinstall transmissions, assist teammates, and document findings to support accurate repair estimates while benefiting from daytime hours, paid time off, and access to AAMCO training programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a General Automotive Technician.
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated
