Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Virginia is seeking a General Automotive/R&R Technician to service a broad range of vehicle repairs and quickly identify performance issues.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems, remove and reinstall transmissions, and assist teammates. A VA State Inspection License, a valid driver’s license, and your own tools are required. We offer paid time off, ongoing training, and a clear career path.

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience as General Automotive Technician.
VA State Inspection License required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Own professional tools for general repairs.
Experience in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, drivability testing.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems.
Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians.
Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques.
Record findings professionally so repairs costs are accurately estimated.
