Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. is seeking a General Automotive/R&R Technician to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and quickly identify causes of performance problems.

You will inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle systems, and assist teammates with technical activities in a daytime schedule. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience, own their tools, and be proficient in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, drivability testing, and accurate cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a General Automotive Technician
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting mechanical and electrical diagnostics including drivability testing
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated
