Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. in Woodbridge, VA seeks a skilled General Automotive/R&R Technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems, with emphasis on transmissions.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair, remove and reinstall transmission systems, and collaborate with service writers and technicians to estimate repair costs. Minimum 3+ years as a General Automotive Technician, own professional grade tools, and proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues,

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a General Automotive Technician.
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need.
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing.

As aGeneral Automotive/R&R Technicianyou will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and for quickly identifying the cause of performance problems.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as aGeneral Automotive Technician
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
• Experiencetroubleshooting and conducting both mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
