Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Florida is seeking a General Automotive/R&R Technician to diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicle systems, including transmissions. The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

You will remove and reinstall transmissions, assist other technicians, explain findings to service writers, and continuously learn through AAMCO’s training programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of General Automotive Technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own professional grade tools.
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting mechanical and electrical diagnostics including drivability testing.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

As aGeneral Automotive/R&R Technicianyou will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and for quickly identifying the cause of performance problems. We are also looking for skilled Transmission Rebuilders.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as aGeneral Automotive Technician
