Job summary

Medical Devices Company in El Paso, TX is seeking an entry level General Assembler for a 12-month contract on W2. Shift is 4th with a 6:00 am–6:00 pm schedule on weekends, totaling 40 hours weekly.

Compensation ranges from $16 to $20 per hour, with an on-site manufacturing environment focusing on GMP/compliance and safety. Under supervision, you will assist in the preparation and manufacture of active ingredients, intermediates, and medical devices, adhering to SOPs and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 4 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read, write, and understand Basic English preferred.
• Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/pallet jack is preferred.
• Problem solving skills is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, trains to perform duties related to the preparation and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and/or medical devices in accordance with SOPs.
• Follow GMP, safety, and environmental procedures and guidelines.
• Transport materials using material handling equipment with appropriate safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping; report hazards and incidents.
• Be available for overtime as needed and support other projects as required.
• Look for ways to simplify or improve products, services, systems, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Possess a basic understanding of production processes within area of assignment and a working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Follow GMP, s and standard operating procedures.
• Transport materials of varying weight in accordance with established safety guidelines using material handling equipment and additional assistance as required.
• Demonstrates adherence to safety procedures by monitoring personal and peer behaviours, work environment and housekeeping.
• Available for overtime as needed
• Performs all duties with attention to quality, safety, and environmental matter such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, identifying, reporting, and appropriately responding to hazards in the work area (spills/accidents/near misses), always maintaining proper housekeeping, and properly labelling and storing chemicals.
• Assume responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of environmental problems as they arise. Complete all regulatory training as assigned (GPM, s, ISO14001, OSHA, etc.).
• Complete Operator Training Program according to established guidelines.
• Be available for other projects or assignments as requested by management.
