Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 21 years of age or older and a minimum of two years driving experience
  • Valid Class B-SP Endorsement Commercial Driver’s License
  • Complete Pre‑service and in‑service training (rule 3301‑83‑10 of the Administrative Code)
  • Successfully pass an Ohio and Federal B.C.I. background check
  • Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test
  • Being physically qualified (rule 3301‑83‑07 of Ohio Administrative Code)
  • Demonstrated record of safe driving as evidenced by review of BMV driving record
  • Neat and clean in dress and appearance
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage student behavior effectively
  • Other skills and abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community; ability to perform duties with awareness of all Board policies, guidelines, and State Laws.
The District

Cardington‑Lincoln Local Schools is located in Morrow County, about an hour north of the Columbus metropolitan area. The district educates just over 1,000 students in three banded schools: elementary (pre‑K–4), middle (5–8), and high (9–12). The district’s mission is to lead ALL students to, career and civic readiness. Both the High School and Elementary School have been named to ODE’s Schools of Promise; the Elementary was also named a National Blue Ribbon School. The district’s agricultural education, FFA chapter, Project Lead the Way, and work initiatives have earned numerous awards and notable growth.

Cardington‑Lincoln offers opportunities through arts, athletics, and other co‑curricular activities. Partners include the ESC of Central Ohio, Marion Technical College, Ohio State University Marion, and Tri‑Rivers Career Center.
