Job summary

The Integrity, Investigations, Intelligence and Events (i3E) teams at Meta seek security engineers to investigate sophisticated threat actors, automate and mature investigative processes, and protect users across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus.

You will extract, correlate, and surface data to disrupt threats across spaces, while handling sensitive content and coordinating with teams worldwide. Relevant experience in cyber security and data analytics is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cyber security, private sector security investigations, intelligence, or related government role.
• Experience working with Python, PHP or similar scripting languages.
• Proven experience conducting large scale data analysis with big data tools (Maltego, Palantir, Tableau).
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical findings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Combination of investigative and engineering skills.
• Experience collaborating across multiple locations/time zones.
• BS/MS or equivalent in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field.

Responsibilities

• Proactively hunt for threats using internal data, OSINT, and third‑party intelligence.
• Investigate complex cases to stop abuse and inform enforcement strategies on GenAI products.
• Automate investigative tooling and tradecraft where possible.
• Analyze large datasets to surface trends and support findings.
• Develop and implement strategies to disrupt abuse at scale.
• Address sensitive content issues including graphic material.
