Job summary

Meta's Integrity, Investigations, Intelligence and Events (i3E) teams are seeking a Security Engineer, Investigator – GenAI to proactively hunt threats and investigate abuse on Meta’s GenAI products. You will leverage internal data, OSSINT, and private intelligence to mature investigative methods and automate processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cyber security or related field.
• Proficient in Python or PHP.
• Experience with large-scale data analysis and tools like Maltego, Palantir, Tableau.
• Strong communication and ability to work with minimal direction.
• Experience across multiple locations/time zones.
• BS/MS or equivalent in CS/IS/Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Proactively hunt for threats and undetected abuse using internal data, open-source intelligence and private intelligence.
• Investigate complex cases to understand how abuse occurs and implement enforcement strategies for GenAI products.
• Identify areas to automate investigative tooling and tradecraft.
• Analyze large datasets to surface trends and support findings.
• Disrupt abuse at scale and implement effective prevention strategies.
• Handle sensitive content, including graphic material and potentially disturbing material.
