Job summary

Apple Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the foundation of its next-generation Generative AI platform.

You will design and implement large-scale, secure, highly available systems and collaborate across teams to advance intelligent experiences. The role requires strong programming skills in Java or Python, experience with RESTful services on AWS or GCP, and knowledge of agentic workflows, RAG, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in Java or Python.
• Experience building RESTful services on AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to build large-scale, distributed, highly available systems and pipelines.
• Architect and implement complex multi-agent workflows.
• Handle distributed state persistence and inter-agent communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive requirements.
• Ensure designs meet security guidelines and quality standards.
• Mentor junior developers and assist with planning and estimation.
• Maintain stability and reliability of systems.
