Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Microsoft AI & Data Forward Deployed Engineer in Houston to rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions for clients. You will collaborate with senior client teams to translate business needs into high-impact AI solutions and mentor junior members within an FDE pod.

The role emphasizes production-quality code, scalable patterns, and strong collaboration with architects, engineers, and product owners to balance quality, latency and cost while driving measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments.
• 1+ years experience with Microsoft AI & Data including Azure AI Foundry.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions.
• 1+ years building reliable, well-documented code.
• Ability to travel 50%.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions.
• Partner with leaders to align priorities and delivery.
• Lead sessions to shape solutions and drive outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver working AI solutions leveraging domain expertise.
• Mentor newer team members within an FDE pod.
• Build AI-enabled solutions and scalable patterns across platforms.
• Deliver production-quality code with CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
• Design extensible functionality and support sprint sizing.
