Job summary

LMI, a digital solutions provider, seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer/Solution Architect to join the Washington, DC area team. The role combines hands-on development, customer engagement, and rapid deployment of the LIGER platform across federal customers.

The candidate will work with the Sales Engineering team, integrating AI capabilities, building enhancements, and guiding deployments from on-site to remote formats, including occasional travel nationwide. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, and related AI technologies solving real problems.
• Proven experience with the MEAN stack and full stack development in TypeScript.
• Experience with Angular and developing web applications.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and/or DoD/federal environments.
• Ability to interact with APIs and integrate software solutions with business processes.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and security principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders in government and industry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to multiple customers.
• Integrate the LIGER GenAI platform into customers' processes.
• Build new functionalities and enhancements within the LIGER platform.
• Oversee deployment and configuration for 60–180 days post‑sale.
• Engage with customers in person, hybrid, or remote formats.
• Demonstrate proof-of-concept to show LIGER’s value.
• Develop deep understanding of LIGER platform capabilities and limitations.
• Provide technical consulting during integration and deployment.
• Rapidly build features around LIGER’s core platform and work with product teams.
