Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is hiring a Software Engineer III in New Jersey to drive generative AI initiatives within Asset and Wealth Management. You will help design and implement AI features powered by Agentic/Gen AI frameworks, writing secure, production-ready code in Java or Python.

The role requires hands-on experience with frontend frameworks (React/Angular), cloud integration on AWS, and strong collaboration across teams to ensure scalable, robust AI systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of strong proficiency in Java or Python, with the ability to architect and build complex AI models from scratch.
• One year of experience in generative AI development and prompt engineering.
• Proven experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in AI projects.
• Minimum of 3+ years of strong experience with React or Angular.
• 2+ years of AWS experience is a must-have.
• Experience with LLM models and agentic tools.
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, applied to AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Generative AI Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of generative AI solutions.
• Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in generative AI technologies and POCs.
• Programming Proficiency: Architect and build complex AI models in Java or Python with production-grade code.
