Job summary

Upbound Group seeks an AI Cybersecurity Engineer in Plano, TX to design and operate AI-driven security capabilities within Zero Trust, GenAI, and agentic systems. You will implement guardrails, RAG pipelines, and MCP toolchains to protect infrastructure, data, and users while enabling safe AI adoption across brands.

The role emphasizes securing LLM-based apps, building multi-agent protection, and integrating security controls across CI/CD and incident response workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in cybersecurity with AI security focus.
• 2+ years securing AI/ML and GenAI systems.
• Experience applying Zero Trust in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Hands-on cloud security in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• DLP in AI pipelines and privacy-preserving techniques.
• Experience securing LLM-based applications and guardrails.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks.
• IAM/OIDC and secrets management knowledge.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK for AI.
• Excellent communication for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Apply Zero Trust to AI agents with least-privilege credentials.
• Secure GenAI deployments against prompt injection and related threats.
• Build guardrails and output validation for GenAI systems and LLMs.
• Conduct adversarial red-teaming of GenAI systems and agent platforms.
• Secure multi-agent systems performing security tasks like threat hunting and triage.
• Define agent trust boundaries and HITL checkpoints.
• Implement observability: logging, tracing, auditing of agent actions.
• Assess MCP server risks and enforce access control policies.
• Harden RAG pipelines against retrieval manipulation and data exfiltration.
• Design RAG monitoring for anomalies and high-entropy queries.
• Develop ML models for threat detection and UEBA across telemetry.
• Build LLM-powered SOAR integrations for alert triage and runbooks.
• Create GenAI-assisted threat hunting workflows grounded in live telemetry.
• Embed AI security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
