Job summary

Google is seeking a Policy Specialist in Policy Enablement and Delivery to drive GenAI policy standards and oversee their implementation across the Trust & Safety organization. You will work with Google engineers, product managers, and enforcement teams to scale policies and ensure user trust worldwide.

You will manage the policy lifecycle from launch through scaling, performance monitoring, and iterative improvements while addressing sensitive content with care and rigor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or technology environment.
• Experience with policy enforcement or implementation.

Responsibilities

• Draft and manage GenAI Policy Standards, including maintaining specialized lists and guidelines to adapt to evolving technology.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, implement, and launch GenAI policies, standards, and products that promote user trust and uphold Google’s core principles.
• Identify policy issues that may affect Google, understand their impact, manage policy escalations, and suggest improvements.
• Monitor and track policy performance against key metrics to ensure operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Communicate and present effectively, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and across geographies.
• Work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial or upsetting topics or content.
