Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Manassas, VA seeks an AI-enabled software engineer to integrate Generative AI tools into tactical systems. You will collaborate with design professionals to develop tools for Navy customers, focusing on AI agents, LLMs, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities include upgrading locally-hosted models, interfacing with customers and leadership, and ensuring tools function in air-gapped environments. On-site role with top security clearances preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related STEM field.
• 1 year of relevant experience with AI agents and large language models.
• Experience with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) in AI agent workflows.
• Familiarity with LangChain, MCP and open-source agentic libraries.

Responsibilities

• Development and integration of Generative AI tools into tactical and development systems.
• Interface with developers, program leadership, and customers to develop tools for specific use cases.
• Adapt AI tools for air-gapped environments and upgrade locally-hosted LLMs and tooling.
• Build data pipelines to ingest data from varied sources; provide user support and feedback.
