Google is seeking an Forward Deployed Engineering Manager for GenAI within Google Cloud. You will lead AI/ML engineers who deploy bespoke agentic solutions inside customer environments, mentoring the team while aligning with product and regional leadership.

You will help resolve production-level data readiness, integration, and state-management challenges to achieve enterprise-grade AI maturity. Compensation includes US salary range $262000–$364000 with a 25% target bonus and equity; benefits

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in cloud computing or a technical customer-facing role.
• 2 years of experience managing a software engineering, FDE, or similar team in cloud computing.
• Experience developing AI/GenAI solutions utilizing AI tools or designing multi-agent workflows or RAG systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead, establishing code standards and architectural best practices.
• Partner with sales and tech leadership to define requirements for high-value opportunities.
• Lead technical hiring for FDE and evaluate AI/ML expertise and system engineering.
• Identify skill gaps in emerging tech and ensure subject matter expertise.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to resolve blockers and drive roadmaps.
