Job summary
Consumer Technology Marketing Technology seeks a Specialty Software Engineer 4 - Contingent to join their AI initiative focused on building greenfield AI agents. The role emphasizes backend Python development, API design, and Agentic AI concepts within a fast-paced engineering culture.
Location is San Francisco, CA, with a pay range of $80-$85 per hour. The team plans to expand production to 20+ AI agents and offers strong technical ownership and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Python backend development.
- 5+ years of microservices design and support.
- 5+ years of API development and integration.
- 5+ years MongoDB experience; familiarity with vector DBs.
- 2+ years in Agentic AI concepts including LLM/agent orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and support AI agents for marketing campaign automation.
- Develop backend services and microservices powering agent workflows (APIs, integrations).
- Collaborate daily with developers and architects in standups to remove blockers and ship improvements.
- Implement retrieval and orchestration using LLMs, including RAG patterns and tool calling.
- Support production readiness for the first production agents going live and scale to 20+ agents.
