Job summary

Appen Forward Deployed Engineer collaborates with enterprise clients to design, deploy, and optimise GenAI data solutions, owning the end-to-end quality of delivered data. You will embed across engineering, data operations and client delivery to ensure datasets, pipelines, and automations meet accuracy and performance criteria for model development.

Qualifications

• Experience with GenAI, ML, or model evaluation data.
• Consultative problem-solving in client discussions to guide decisions.
• Hands-on design of data pipelines, validation logic, or automation workflows.
• Experience owning final data quality and readiness for delivery.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical workflows and validators.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted partner to clients by defining requirements and success criteria.
• Shape scalable, high-quality annotation guidelines and insights to improve outcomes.
• Deliver zero-defect GenAI datasets meeting defined criteria.
• Build scalable validation and automation pipelines to reduce manual effort and rework.
• Contribute reusable quality frameworks adopted across projects.
