Job summary

Morgan Stanley’s Technology division seeks a Data & Analytics Engineer at the Associate level to design data pipelines, models, and AI-powered features. You will work on the Chat With Your Data solution (DaiZy), integrating with Enterprise AI and preparing datasets for GenAI usage.

Expect to build backend services in Python, develop microservices, and integrate with Snowflake while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development or consulting experience.
• Strong Python proficiency with a framework (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and service-to-service integration.
• Snowflake experience and data integration.
• Experience integrating LLMs via hosted model APIs or enterprise AI platforms.
• Git workflows, CI/CD, and automated testing experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
• Develop microservices with token-based auth and RBAC.
• Integrate internal apps with third‑party systems and Snowflake.
• Develop LLM-powered features and retrieval-based applications.
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with architects, data teams, product owners, and clients; document work.
• Troubleshoot production issues across applications and data pipelines.
