Job summary

Netflix Creations, LLC in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Editor to support an experimental animation production using GenAI-native pipelines. You will work with the Lead Editor and production staff to deliver feature-quality content in a creator-led environment.

The role covers day-to-day editorial tasks, QA, and building workflows that integrate AI-generated content in real time, with emphasis on quality, security, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience on a Feature or Episodic editorial team, ideally for Animation.
• 2+ years experience with AVID Media Composer or DaVinci Resolve.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and rapid iteration; able to pivot quickly when workflows shift.
• Strong knowledge of project organization and archival workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of AI tools, Cursor and other agents, and workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ingest deliveries and communicate missing footage or discrepancies to production.
• Create and transcode media for editorial turnovers and publish to teams and executives.
• Track approvals, cut versions and outputs from editorial, adhering to studio conventions.
• Maintain a high level of Quality Control for technical and security standards.
• Collaborate with grace, humility, inclusion, and open-mindedness.
• Ensure Edit Tools are functioning properly and report issues to the TDs.
• Help the Editorial department support all areas of production.
• Manage unconventional production assets, including experimental AI generations and prompt-based versioning.
• Ensure compliance with data and security protocols for proprietary generative AI data.
