Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the CAX team to build industry-first sponsored conversational shopping experiences on Amazon Search, integrating LLMs and ML infrastructure at scale.

You will design and develop net-new conversational ad experiences, collaborate with scientists to implement and operationalize large language models, and build data pipelines to power personalized advertising for hundreds of millions of shoppers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture for systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math
• Experience programming with at least one software language

Responsibilities

• Design and develop net-new conversational ad experiences on the Amazon Search page
• Build large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and ML infrastructure to power LLM-driven ad experiences in production
• Partner with the science team to implement and operationalize large language models (LLMOps)
• Build and maintain data processing pipelines that support personalized AI-driven advertising at scale
• Pioneer new approaches to conversational AI and natural language interactions in advertising
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions across the advertising ecosystem
• Create scalable systems to deliver explicitly personalized ad experiences to hundreds of millions of shoppers
• Drive end-to-end ownership of key customer-facing functionality—from design through deployment and operations
