Job summary

A leading staffing and recruiting company in Everett, Washington, is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Designer. In this role, you will create structural designs and 3D CAD models for advanced Generation IV nuclear reactors. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in mechanical/structural design and strong proficiency in SolidWorks. This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of $37.00–$74.00 based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical/structural design.
• Experience checking fabrication drawings.
• Demonstrated experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Produce robust CAD models that facilitate fast-paced design evolution.
• Develop and maintain complex mechanical designs.
• Document design progress and manage configurations.

Skills

CAD proficiency in SolidWorks

Analytical/problem-solving skills

Organized and detail-oriented

Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

Experience in Mechanical and Machine Design

Education

B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
