Job summary

Dunhill Staffing Systems in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Electrical/Wire Harness Assembly Technician for a 12-month contract to support development, production, and prototype harnesses.

You will fabricate, assemble, test, and modify harnesses, read blueprints, train teammates, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using a computer to look up and record information.
  • Experience with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions).
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, repair, and test wire harnesses and electrical assemblies per specs.
  • Document nonconformances and help improve manufacturing processes using the quality system.
  • Read blueprints, sketches and instructions; apply basic math to verify measurements.
  • Operate wire stripping, crimping, soldering and cutting tools safely and accurately.
  • Maintain safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
  • Train new employees in harness fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Navigate computer systems for shop and office applications.

Job description

12‑month contract with potential for extension. Must be able to work any shift assigned as well as a 4‑10 schedule. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Currently seeking Electrical/Wire Harness Assembly Technician(s) in Mesa, AZ.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, repair, and test development, production, and prototype wire harnesses and electrical assemblies, using the quality management system to document nonconforming parts and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Construct wire harnesses and panels by cutting, sorting, color‑coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, routing, and inspecting various lengths, types, and gauges of wire and heat‑shrink.
  • Operate wire strippers, crimpers, solder irons, wire‑identification and cutting machines, heat guns, and other related tools.
  • Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of foreign object debris (FOD) and non‑conformance issues.
  • Complete and maintain all required training and certifications.
  • Maintain safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
  • Read blueprints, sketches, specifications, and written or verbal instructions; apply basic mathematics.
  • Train new employees in harness fabrication.
  • Report job status and constraints to coworkers and supervision.
  • Navigate computer systems for office and shop applications.
  • Demonstrate listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Stand, lift, and bend for long periods as required.
  • Apply relevant educational or certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, giving and receiving feedback and assisting others in completion of tasks.
  • Must be available to work any shift as needed by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using written instructions and drawings to complete a task.
  • Experience using hand tools and/or hand‑held power tools.
  • Experience determining gauge size of wire.
