WAGES : $16.39 -New Hires Entry level rate $16.39/hr.; Current employees in the bargaining unit: Please refer to the salary schedule established by the applicable bargaining group.

Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

• Successful candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.

• Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.

• Ability to work independently assisting teachers with instruction.

• Ability to work with ALL children.

• Provide supervision during recess and lunch.

• Communicate with instructional staff daily regarding instruction and student issues.

• Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.

• Other duties as assigned by administration.

• PLEASE NOTE: This is a Title I position, and funds may change at any time. These funds are provided on an annual basis and may not be renewed for the following year.

Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV Yes No)

• Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.

• Must be able to navigate through a multiple-story building.

• Excellent attendance and prompt arrival at work

• Must be flexible due to changes in schedule and student population

• Experience working with at-risk students a plus
