Job summary

UEC is seeking a role focused on supporting student success in collaboration with teachers and MTSS teams. You will model PBIS practices, work with students in various settings, and assist teachers with instruction while maintaining thorough records.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a commitment to at‑risk students, and the ability to build rapport with diverse families in a school environment in Davenport, Iowa. This is an on-site instructional support role.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Collaborate with teachers in MTSS to support student success
• Teach, model, and support PBIS in all building situations
• Work with students in the skills room and with all students effectively
• Input data into student data systems and manipulate spreadsheets
• Establish a positive and structured learning environment with classroom teachers
• Assist and support classroom teachers with instruction and monitor student progress by keeping records and providing feedback
• Communicate and relate to students in a non‑threatening, friendly manner to promote self‑discipline and resolve conflicts
• Maintain patience and positive interpersonal skills with all students
• Walk hallways during class and passing times, reporting issues to office staff
• Communicate daily with instructional staff regarding instruction and student issues
• Utilize or be willing to be trained in MTSS and PBIS practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator

Compensation & Benefits

• Entry‑level wage for new hires: $16.39 per hour
