This position may be covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards. Prior to being hired, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training.
This position will coordinate the setup and growth of the Generative AI practice within the Company, working across business areas and technical groups to understand needs, identify opportunities for the application of AI technologies and translate AI insights into actionable strategies to increase business return on investments.
Knowledge of data modeling, visualization techniques and tools and statistical analysis.
Ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, across different audiences.
Certification in Microsoft Azure, Office 365 or related technologies.
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform model development.
Proficiency in designing and implementing algorithms that can generate new data or content based on existing datasets. Experience in assessing the performance of generative models using metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall.
Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
Understands and utilizes decision theory to create strategic and tactical support documents for stakeholders.
Demonstrates solid judgment when analyzing problems and makes difficult choices under uncertain conditions in dynamic environments with many variables.
Makes decisions related to standards and guidelines for AI development to be followed.
Accountable for recommendations and activities that have a high potential for making a significant financial impact on the company's business process and risk profile. Budgetary decisions will be coordinated with senior management, seeks to create greater business efficiencies which have financial impact against operations and maintenance budgets.
Research and plan training AI related training paths for business partners and technical team members.
Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time. Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required. Manual dexterity is required. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
