Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer to shape the architecture, engineering strategy, and technical standards for AgentCore. This role involves hands-on leadership, solving the hardest problems in Generative AI, and delivering scalable services that accelerate customers' production deployments.

You will mentor engineers, set direction for the platform, and deliver strategic projects with bottom-line impact while ensuring reliability and security at scale.

Qualifications

12+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
12+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

Responsibilities

Build a new AWS service for Gen AI, scalable and fault tolerant, leveraging AgentCore architecture.
Mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues.
Drive architecture, engineering strategy, and technical standards for the platform.
