Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking an L6 Staff Fullstack Engineer & Architect to act as an organizational architect and tech lead across Contributor (CB) teams. You will drive mission-critical initiatives, ensure scalable architecture, and guide long-term tech evolution of Scale's stack.

You will work across backend, frontend, and ML systems, mentoring engineers and aligning with product leadership to shape roadmap and priorities. Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time engineering experience with a track record as Tech Lead/Architect/Principal Engineer.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL.
• Experience with Kubernetes and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
• Experience with or productizing LLMs, vector databases, or AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy into critical, fast-moving CB product initiatives and own large, ambiguous problems end-to-end.
• Lead architectural overhaul of platform infrastructure for sustainability, scalability, and deep integration with LLMs and foundation models.
• Make architecture decisions for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor and elevate engineers across the team.
• Partner with product and leadership to shape roadmaps and priorities.
• Collaborate across backend, frontend, and ML systems.
