Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. in Central NJ is seeking an agentic AI developer to build and productionize Vertex AI–based RAG systems, and design reliable tool-using agents for web applications. You’ll work with Python, Flask/Django, and modern cloud services to implement end-to-end AI-driven features.

Qualifications include strong Python experience, RAG solutions, and familiarity with vector databases and agent frameworks. The role emphasizes code quality, testing, and observability in production systems.

Qualifications

• Decent understanding of the software development/testing life cycle.
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control tools, such as Git.
• Experience building RAG solutions (hybrid search, reranking, chunking, embeddings).
• Familiar with at least one agentic framework (LangGraph/LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen).
• Solid knowledge of vector search concepts and at least one vector DB in production.
• Strong engineering practices: code reviews, testing, telemetry, secure‑by‑design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to design and develop high quality web applications using Python, Flask, Django.
• Write clean, efficient code and ensure maintainability.
• Design and implement RAG pipelines on Vertex AI (chunking, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, grounding).
• Build agentic workflows with tool use, planning, and guardrails.
• Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure quality and reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for web apps.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and prioritization.
