Job summary

Interon IT Solutions is seeking a hands-on Generative AI Engineer to develop AI-powered enterprise and healthcare products in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate has built LLM applications and has experience deploying on AWS or another cloud platform.

You will design, implement, and deploy GenAI features including RAG, embeddings, and AI agents, build REST APIs with FastAPI, and ensure quality, security, and cost efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop RAG solutions that retrieve information from documents, databases, and other enterprise sources.

• Implement embeddings, vector search, prompt design, structured outputs, and guardrails.
• Test applications for response quality, accuracy, latency, security, and cost.

Interon IT Solutions is seeking a hands‑on Generative AI Engineer to develop AI-powered enterprise and healthcare products. The ideal candidate has built LLM applications and has experience deploying applications on AWS or another cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Build Generative AI applications using LLM APIs and Python.


• Develop RAG solutions that retrieve information from documents, databases, and other enterprise sources.


• Create AI agents and automated workflows with tool calling and API integrations.


• Build backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI or a similar framework.


• Implement embeddings, vector search, prompt design, structured outputs, and guardrails.


• Test applications for response quality, accuracy, latency, security, and cost.


• Deploy, monitor, and improve applications in a cloud environment.


• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver production-ready features.

Required Qualifications

• 1 5 years of experience in software development, AI/ML, or a related engineering field.


• Strong Python programming skills and experience developing REST APIs.


• Hands‑on experience deploying or supporting applications on AWS or another cloud platform.


• Experience building LLM applications involving RAG, embeddings, or AI agents.


• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or a similar framework.


• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, Git, and software testing.


• Ability to work onsite in Chantilly, Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services such as Bedrock, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, or RDS


• OpenAI APIs or Anthropic models


• Vector databases or PostgreSQL/pgvector


• Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or application monitoring
