Job summary

Bass Pro Shops seeks a Gelcoat Technician to apply gel coat to production hull and deck molds using hand-operated spray equipment. You will ensure color, finish and thickness meet production standards and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include operating the spray gun, pulling tape on molds, maintaining test gel coating equipment, and adhering to all health, safety and quality protocols. A high school diploma is required; strict safety practices are mandatory.

POSITION SUMMARY

Gelcoat is a liquid that hardens to form a thick layer of protective fiberglass and gives a shiny, smooth finish. This position applies gel coat to production hull and deck molds by using hand operated spray equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operates spray gun to apply various coats of gel coat to molds according to production schedule, ensuring color, finish and thickness are adhered to.


• Pulls tape on deck or hull molds.


• Maintains and cleans test gel coating equipment to ensure it operates as required.


• Maintains a clean and environmentally safe work area.


• Continued awareness and protective actions regarding all health, safety and chemical protocols and processes


• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
