Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland offers a full-time Gearbox/Rotating Equipment Repair Tech position in Decatur, IL. You will disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble industrial rotating equipment, ensuring OEM specifications are met and documenting repairs.

The role includes vibration readings, a 6am–2:30pm shift, and overtime opportunities. The position requires read blueprints, lift up to 50 pounds, work safely in a team, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience disassembling and assembling industrial rotating equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturer manuals.
• Willingness to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong teamwork and communication; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble equipment to remove parts and perform repairs.

Candidates shall have experience doing disassembly and assembly of industrial rotating equipment. Colleagues will work in a team atmosphere to rebuild equipment as needed. Overtime will be worked as needed. Skill sets for this position includes:* Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs* Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear* Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts* Clean, lubricate or adjust parts.* Repair or maintain the operating conditions of the rotating equipment to OEM specifications* Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections or repairs* Record repairs and maintenance performed* Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct repair and assembly* Record parts or materials used* Accurately documenting failure analysis and repair steps taken* Test run equipment after repair and take vibration readings**Other Qualifications:*** Able to work safely in a team environment and be quality conscience* Able to climb stairs and ladders, sit and stand for extended periods of time* Able to use precision measuring tools including but not limited to, Vernier calipers, OD Micrometers, ID Micrometers, Bore Gauges, and dial indicators.* Able to lift 50 pounds* Able to read and interpret blueprints* Exhibit regular and prompt attendance* Display strong communication skills (oral and written)* High school diploma/GED is requiredADM requires the successful completion of a background check.REF:114341BR**#IncludingYou**Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are cornerstones of ADM's efforts to continue innovating, driving growth, and delivering outstanding performance.
