Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Gearing Technician to perform final assembly of gearboxes and support the manufacturing team. You will read work orders and BOMs, assemble to specifications, test quality, and assist with final packaging and shipping.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of mechanical assembly experience and a High School diploma or GED. You must be able to lift 40 lbs, operate hand and power tools, and understand safety procedures. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years mechanical assembly experience (gearbox, power transmission, or motor assembly).
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Able to read BOMs, work orders, and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial gearboxes according to customer specifications.
• Receive inbound components and verify against PO/packing slip.
• Maintain accurate inventory and organize locations.
• Read work orders, BOMs, and tooling diagrams.
• Perform quality tests on finished products.
• Operate an industrial painting system for final coating.
• Assist with boxing/crating for shipping.
• Communicate with team to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
