Job summary

The Toro Company in Perry, OK is hiring a Gearbox Assembly Mechanic I (Day Shift). You will build gearboxes and related components for heavy equipment with attention to quality and safety. You will interpret blueprints, set up and assemble parts, use hand and air tools, and operate basic machines as needed.

The role requires reading production records and adhering to specifications. This is an entry-level to skilled position offering competitive starting pay, benefits, and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble gearboxes
• Ability to read blueprints and production records
• Experience or training in welding, machining, or metalworking helpful
• Good math skills and attention to safety and quality

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical bulletins for accurate assembly.
• Set up, adjust, and assemble gearboxes and components with correct sequence and build quality.
• Prepare fixtures, mount components, and use hand and air tools.
• Operate basic machinery (lathe, mill, drill) when required for preparation.
• Inspect assemblies to verify accuracy and adherence to specs.
• Use computer systems to check part location, routing, and inventory; maintain records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
