Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, child development, or related field.
• At least 3 years of work experience with middle/high school students in school or community settings.
• Strong knowledge of postsecondary education requirements, options, applications, financial aid, and scholarships.
• Ability to collaborate with counselors, teachers, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for all GEAR UP activities at the assigned school.
• Maintain data on student participation and academic records in required databases.
• Prepare annual program reports with other school personnel.
• Coordinate college access and success services for middle and high school students.
• Recruit and train students to serve as peer mentors.
• Supervise and support peer mentors and organize leadership activities.
• Collaborate with district staff to ensure grant compliance and resource use.
