Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serves GEAR UP students at target school sites, collaborating with district teachers and staff to meet academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Delivers direct academic, social, and emotional support, including tutoring and supplemental instruction in school and out of school.
• Coordinates student participation in teacher-based and school-based opportunities; schedules meetings with counselors and staff.
• Identifies services in-school, district, and community for GEAR UP students and families; encourages participation in programs.
• Communicates with parents/guardians regularly to ensure involvement in student performance and activities.
• Designs and implements educational activities, materials, programs, services, and strategies in classrooms, seminars, and summer programs.
• Maintains accurate data, records, and student files; documents services in accordance with GEAR UP reporting requirements.
• Collaborates with community partners to facilitate provision of community-based services.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of College Pipeline Programs.
