Job summary

The Gear Issue Customer Service Representative supports NAVSUPPU-2 supply operations by managing warehouse functions including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of Naval Special Warfare gear to ensure mission readiness.

This on-site role requires US citizenship, an active Secret clearance, five years of DoD warehousing experience, forklift operation, and proficiency with SWALIS/DPAS/R-Supply. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a demanding logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of warehousing and inventory management experience within the DoD.
  • Experience with SWALIS, DPAS, or R-Supply systems.
  • Forklift operation and material handling knowledge.
  • Proven data entry and system navigation skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a warehouse setting.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain installation access and Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse management operations including receiving, stowage, and processing of incoming materials.
  • Maintain inventory control and sustainment replenishment of Naval Special Warfare gear.
  • Process general service requests and gear issue operations.
  • Issue initial load-outs and sustain equipment for training and deployment operations.
  • Validate incoming materials for quantity, stock numbers, and condition.
  • Transport materials using forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking in SWALIS/DPAS and R-Supply systems.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of issued and received materials.
  • Assemble deployment-specific gear packages based on requirements.
  • Collect sizing requirements for personnel equipment.
  • Support return, disposal, and lifecycle management of gear.

Position Summary:

The Gear Issue Customer Service Representative supports LOGSUPPU-2 supply operations by managing warehouse functions including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of Naval Special Warfare gear. This role ensures accurate processing and accountability of equipment and consumables while supporting operational requirements for training and deployment. The position contributes directly to mission readiness by ensuring timely issuance and sustainment of critical gear.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform warehouse management operations, including receiving, stowage, and processing of incoming materials
  • Maintain inventory control and sustainment replenishment of Naval Special Warfare gear
  • Process general service requests and gear issue operations
  • Issue initial load-outs and sustain equipment for training and deployment operations
  • Validate incoming materials for quantity, stock numbers, and condition
  • Process, manage, and transport materials using forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking in SWALIS/DPAS and R-Supply systems

Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum five (5) years of warehousing and inventory management experience within the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Inventory systems such as SWALIS, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), or R-Supply
  • Material handling, receiving, storage, and distribution operations
  • Hazardous material storage, handling, and disposal procedures
  • Possession of a forklift operator license
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must accurately input and manage data across systems
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access
Physical Ability to:
  • Ability to operate a forklift and material handling equipment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move inventory and equipment
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks
  • Ability to work in warehouse and logistics environments
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
