GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) is offering an internship program in Wilmington, NC for engineering students. You will receive mentorship and work on challenging assignments across systems, analysis, design, and digital integration in the power generation sector.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a 3.0+ GPA, strong communication, initiative, and a keen interest in advancing nuclear power generation. Relocation and housing support are available.

Other Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree-seeking graduation years: May or Dec 2028 OR May or Dec 2029.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must be willing to work in Wilmington, NC.

• Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

• This position requires access to and/or use of information subject to control under the United States Department of Energy’s Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810) and the Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774) (collectively, "U.S. Export Control Laws"). The pay for this position ranges from $1,000 - $2,000 weekly based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed

This position is also eligible for:

• Relocation Assistance:Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

• Housing Allowance:Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off‑set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services

• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
