Location: 100% travel throughout the USA

Job Type: Regular Full-time or Contract positions available

Rates: Commensurate with experience + $130 per day per diem

Job Responsibilities:

  • Travel 100% on a rotational basis to wind farms throughout the U.S. - cross country travel by air or truck
  • Perform blade LOTO duties for GE wind turbines in support of blade repair operations
  • Monitor confined space operations for internal blade repair work
  • Assist the Blade repair team, responsible for work completion at height or on the ground
  • Interface with the customer on site as needed
  • Operate the basket, rigging/de-rigging blade access platform, and perform tag-lining
  • Assist in solving work scope problems
  • Maintain organized on-site supply inventory during repairs
  • Perform miscellaneous operational support tasks as required
  • Provide quality customer service, adhere to site rules, and pay attention to detail
  • Maintain professional conduct on and off site; care for company property and interests
  • Ensure personal, team, and site safety
  • Be a team player within a diverse team
Job requirements

Ideal candidate skills and training include:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment, think critically, and solve problems
  • Current GE LOTO Certification (NAM Blade LOTO, NAMTech Essentials, or RELC Tech Essentials) with proof of certification
  • GE Qualified Electrical Worker 1
  • Training or willingness to train in GWO Basic Safety Training, OSHA 10, NFPA 70-E, Confined Space
  • Safe and correct use of powered hand tools
  • Knowledge of composite blade repair (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read complex technical drawings and processes (preferred)
  • IT literacy (email, internet, iPad)
  • Willingness to spend extensive time away from home in the field
  • Flexibility with scope and schedule changes
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and follow guidance
  • Valid, current driver's license
  • Physical ability to climb ladders up to 300 feet/90 meters multiple times per day, bend, crawl, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US or Canada
