Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a GCS (Gas & Chemical Systems) Control Room Operator to join a shift operations team responsible for safe and reliable gas and chemical supply at a large semiconductor facility. Training will occur at Samsung Austin Semiconductor before transitioning to the Taylor, TX site.

You will monitor systems, respond to alarms, gather data for interruptions, and coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment integrity and safety.

Qualifications

• Technical associates or equivalent training.
• 2+ years as a control room operator or similar equipment monitoring experience.
• 4+ years of chemical or gas process experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of onsite gas and chemicals supply systems.
• Investigate any alarms/warnings, abnormal conditions or adverse trends in monitored parameters.
• Direct immediate corrective actions for any safety or quality of supply issues.
• Perform initial data gathering for any supply interruptions or quality issues to include manufacturing impact, timeline, data analysis and root cause investigation.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to remain fully aware of all work on GCS equipment.
• Control access to areas/equipment belonging to GCS Department.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers and control teams to optimize alarm levels and setpoints.

You will train on equipment, systems and job duties at Samsung Austin Semiconductor and then transition to our new facility in Taylor, TX.

Skills and Qualifications

• 4+yearsofchemicalorgasprocessexperience.

The current base salary range for this role is between $23.50- $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
