Job summary

Workiy Inc. is seeking a remote GCP FHIR Architect to design end-to-end cloud architectures for ingesting, processing, and serving clinical data using HL7 FHIR.

You will implement GCP Healthcare Data Engine, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub to support high-throughput workflows. Key qualifications include 8+ years in cloud architecture with 3+ years in GCP healthcare, FHIR proficiency, and experience with legacy formats and Mirth/Rhapsody.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud architecture with at least 3+ years focused on GCP healthcare solutions.
• Deep working knowledge of HL7 FHIR (STU3, R4), FHIR profiling, resources, bundles, and RESTful API operations.
• Expertise in GCP Core Services: Cloud Healthcare API, BigQuery, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Run, IAM.
• Experience with legacy formats (HL7 v2, CCDA, X12 EDI) and integration engines (Mirth Connect, Rhapsody) or GCP native mapping.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL and relational data modeling for healthcare analytics.
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud reference architectures on GCP to ingest, process, store, and serve clinical data using HL7 FHIR standards.
• Implement and manage GCP Healthcare Data Engine, Cloud Healthcare API, BigQuery, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub for high-throughput healthcare workflows.
• Build pipelines converting legacy healthcare data formats into FHIR resources and JSON structures.
• Ensure architectures comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR, and SOC 2, leveraging IAM, KMS, and DLP.
