Job summary

Acestack is seeking a remote GCP Engineer to design, deploy, and support Google Cloud Platform services. You will work on Terraform-based infrastructure and cloud-native applications in a fully remote environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration across development, security, compliance, testing, monitoring, and production teams to ensure reliable, scalable cloud solutions. Prior experience with CI/CD tooling and Kubernetes security is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Cloud Run and load balancing.
• Experience in IT management, cloud services administration, DevOps engineering, or related occupation.
• 1 year of infrastructure as code experience with Terraform; expertise in cloud automation.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef is a bonus.
• Cloud services including storage, databases, and networking.
• CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Kubernetes security practices including network policies, RBAC and secrets management.
• Version control with Git and automating deployment pipelines to Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Google Cloud Platform resources using Terraform and GitHub pipelines.
• Promote infrastructure automation and cross-team collaboration among development, security, compliance, testing, monitoring and production teams.
• Lead efforts to optimize release processes and increase deployment frequency.
• Provide infrastructure guidance to application teams and conduct deployment activities.
• Orchestrate problem resolution during cloud migration journeys and identify automation opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to enhance current infrastructure automation processes.
• Identify new infrastructure automation opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position is to help support and develop the Google Cloud Platform. We are looking for individuals who have experience deploying and supporting cloud native services, using Terraform and GitHub pipelines.

Utilize software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources.

Promote infrastructure automation, flexible collaboration and communication between development, security, compliance, testing, monitoring and production teams.

Optimize the release process by leading teams to identify gaps and eliminate barriers to enable increased frequency of accurate code deployment.

Partner with application teams to provide overall infrastructure guidance and assistance. Conduct infrastructure deployment activities.

Orchestrate problem resolution efforts in an application's cloud migration journey.

Identify opportunities to enhance current application automation processes.

Identify new infrastructure automation opportunities.
