Job Title: GCP DevOps Engineer

Location: Manhattan NY

1. Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, etc.
2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Cloud Build, and Spinnaker.
3. Automation: Automate operational processes, from deployments to scaling and monitoring, using Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Deployment Manager, or other IaC tools.
4. Containerization & Orchestration: Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale containerized applications.
5. Monitoring & Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver) and other third-party tools.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to improve code quality, deployment speed, and system reliability, ensuring the development-to-production pipeline is seamless.
7. Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and secure access controls for cloud infrastructure.
8. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to infrastructure, performance, and application deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• GCP Certification as a Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
• Proven experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Cloud Build, Spinnaker, or equivalent.
• Proficient in using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Google Cloud Operations Suite, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong scripting skills with languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
• Deep understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies.
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and high-availability architecture.
• Experience in automating cloud infrastructure deployment and ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, especially in cloud-based and containerized environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GCP certifications beyond the Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and tools such as Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Firebase.
• Experience with cloud security tools and practices, including IAM, VPCs, IAM roles, and Cloud Security Command Center.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and collaboration.
