Job summary

Experis is seeking a Data Engineer II for our Charlotte, NC site. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite) within the Global Risk & Compliance Technology (GRCT) team.

The position focuses on data engineering in GCP, building pipelines, and collaborating with product teams to align technology with business goals. The candidate should have 4–6 years of experience, strong Python/SQL skills, PySpark, and hands-on GCP expertise (BigQuery).

Qualifications

• ~4–6 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with PySpark and big data tooling.
• Strong GCP experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions (focus on data engineering).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate data requirements and document them for integration into architectures.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and database designs for performance and security.
• Collaborate in design reviews and testing; provide production support with guidance.
• Maintain data models and operate data assets per standards and policies.
• Communicate with business and product teams to enable changes and implementations.
• Implement basic partitioning and indexing for Big Data workloads.
• Collaborate with product/business teams to align tech initiatives with business goals.
