Job summary

Accenture is seeking a hands-on Google Cloud data engineering specialist to design and deliver modern data and AI solutions for clients in the United States. You will work with delivery teams, build data pipelines, develop ML workflows, and implement data governance practices using GCP.

You’ll collaborate with senior architects, support dashboards, and contribute to MLOps, embeddings, and RAG experiments while staying current with Gemini model updates. Travel may be required as projects vary.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, ML Engineering, or related fields.
• 2+ years with Google Cloud Platform.
• 2+ years with SQL, data modeling, and building data pipelines.
• 2+ years with Python or AI or GenAI tools (Vertex AI preferred).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on technical delivery.
• Build data pipelines, ETL/ELT and integrations using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
• Assist with data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization in BigQuery.
• Implement data ingestion patterns for batch and streaming sources.
• Develop dashboards and analytics products using Looker or Looker Studio.
• Develop ML models and AI solutions using Vertex AI, Gemini models, embeddings.
• Implement ML pipelines and establish MLOps (monitoring, retraining, deployment).
• Support prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG experiments.
• Contribute to model testing, validation, and documentation.
• Participate in client workshops and translate requirements into tasks.
• Communicate progress and blockers to project leads and clients.
• Data governance, quality & security: metadata, data quality checks, and lineage with Dataplex, IAM.
• Follow security, identity management and compliance.
• Support data validation, testing, and monitoring.
• Learn and apply GCP Data & AI best practices; collaborate with senior engineers.
• Contribute to accelerators, documentation, and reusable components.
• Stay current with GCP releases and Gemini updates.
