Job summary

Xebia is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines, implement Data Quality in DBT, and migrate quality controls within a modern cloud data stack. The role emphasizes collaboration with data modelers, analysts, and testers across EU-focused projects.

Required experience with ETL/ELT, SQL, GCP including BigQuery, and dbt Core; work authorization for the European Union region is required. Remote work from EU is supported with client engagements across regions.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines and ELT processes to move and transform data.
• Implement Data Quality metrics in DBT and migrate quality controls from legacy systems.
• Prepare mappings between existing and target data solutions.
• Develop controls using BigQuery and build repositories for monitoring results.
• Integrate solutions with GCP platform services and optimize performance of Data Quality executions.
• Support testing activities and contribute to technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Modelers, Business Analysts, and Test Engineers.

You will be:

• Building and developing data pipelines and ELT processes.
• Implementing Data Quality metrics in DBT.

Your profile:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with modern data platforms.
• Experience with data migration and transformation activities.
• Knowledge of Data Quality monitoring concepts.
• Experience with system integrations and data processing workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with GCP, including BigQuery.
• Experience with dbt Core.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• Experience migrating legacy data solutions to cloud environments.
