Job summary

Xebia is a global AI-first digital transformation and engineering partner. We seek a senior Cloud Engineer with strong GCP expertise to design and evolve enterprise-scale platforms and secure landing zones.

You will lead Terraform-based IaC, CI/CD automation, and platform modernization while mentoring engineering teams. EU region work permit is required and remote work from EU is supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or cloud architecture.
• Advanced Terraform skills and IaC
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services including IAM, VPC, GKE, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, networking, SRE, and production environments.
• Experience defining cloud architectures and adoption strategies and leading discussions with stakeholders.
• Work from the EU region and a valid work permit are required.

Responsibilities

• Designing and evolving enterprise-scale GCP platforms, including secure landing zones and cloud foundations.
• Defining cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, and security best practices.
• Driving Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, reusable modules, and automated provisioning.
• Enabling scalable CI/CD pipelines, platform automation, and improved developer experience.
• Implementing SRE principles to improve reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives, influencing technical decisions, and mentoring engineering teams.

You will be:

Your profile:

• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or cloud architecture, with strong hands‑on GCP expertise,

• advanced Terraform skills and experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build,

• strong knowledge of GCP services, including IAM, VPC, GKE, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, and Cloud Monitoring,

• solid understanding of cloud security, governance, networking, SRE, and enterprise‑scale production environments,

• experience defining cloud architectures and adoption strategies, leading technical discussions, and collaborating with senior stakeholders,

• excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution,

• work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• Google Cloud Professional certifications or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification,

• experience with FinOps, Kubernetes platform engineering, Anthos, or multi‑cloud environments,

• knowledge of security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, or ISO 27001,

• experience in consulting, enterprise transformation, or large‑scale e-commerce environments.
