Job summary

Exavalu is seeking an experienced Data Architect to define and design end‑to‑end data architecture for an insurance client. You will work with the Chief Data Architect and stakeholders to shape data structures, ingestion patterns, and downstream consumption strategies.

Key responsibilities include designing scalable data solutions on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Cloud Composer), building ETL/ELT pipelines, and developing data models (Star/Snowflake/Data Vault).

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering.
• Experience designing enterprise data architectures and integration solutions.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Cloud Composer).
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using GCS, BigQuery Load Jobs, Datastream, CDC.
• Hands-on with real-time streaming data pipelines using Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
• Experience modeling data in BigQuery (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault).
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures for enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCS, BigQuery Load Jobs, Datastream/CDC, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
• Develop data models in BigQuery, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
• Use Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
• Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise data architecture standards.

• Strong experience developing data models in BigQuery, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
• Strong proficiency in advanced SQL and Python.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures and data pipelines for enterprise data environments.
